Strategic Expansion Drives Plumas Bancorp Growth Trajectory

Investment Thesis • Updated 2026Q1

VerdictPositive
Growth:Accelerating
Profitability:Strong
Financial:Fortress
Cash Flow:Mixed
Primary Risk:Localized geographic concentration risk

Key Thesis Takeaways

  • Plumas Bancorp is successfully leveraging its expansion into the Reno-Sparks corridor to drive asset growth, which reached $2.2 billion by 2026Q1.
  • While the bank maintains a robust capital position with an equity-to-assets ratio of 12%, investors should monitor the volatility in non-interest income, which saw fee income percentages fluctuate from 13.2% in 2025Q1 to 7.9% in 2026Q1.
  • The institution's reliance on localized regional markets warrants caution, as any downturn in these specific geographic sectors could impact the stability of its net interest income, which grew to $25.6 million in 2026Q1.

Verdict Logic

the bank's forward P/E of 10.46 appears attractive given the consistent net interest income growth to $25.6 million in 2026Q1 and a stable 12% equity-to-assets ratio.
