Accounting Consolidation Distorts P10 Operational Growth Profile

Investment Thesis • Updated 2026Q1

VerdictNeutral
Growth:Mixed
Profitability:Moderate
Financial:Mixed
Cash Flow:Mixed
Primary Risk:Accounting Consolidation Distorts Reality

Key Thesis Takeaways

  • P10, Inc.
  • presents a complex investment profile where massive balance sheet fluctuations, such as the asset surge to $86.8 billion in 2025Q4, obscure the firm's underlying organic performance.
  • While the company maintains a gross margin near 48%, the reliance on project-based consulting and significant stock-based compensation exceeding $10 million per quarter suggests potential volatility in fee-related earnings.
  • Investors should exercise caution as the firm's negative retained earnings of $186.3 million and inconsistent cash flow conversion indicate that the current valuation may not fully reflect the risks associated with its acquisition-heavy growth strategy.

Verdict Logic

while the forward P/E of 6.92 appears attractive, the extreme volatility in operating cash flow to net income ratios, which reached a negative 4.01 in 2025Q3, warrants further investigation into the sustainability of the firm's earnings quality.
